Board character
Magic Move blends the best elements of small freeride and Freestyle Wave shapes. It planes earlier than the Freestyle Wave and carries speed more easily through manoeuvres. The wider tail improves efficiency in gusty conditions and helps maintain momentum, while the board remains loose, manoeuvrable and fun in swell. It is stable, fast and effortless to control, making it ideal for playful, sporty sessions on both flat water and coastal spots.
Construction
The Magic Move features a reinforced Carbon Innegra structure with a parabolic rail band and integrated Innegra nose protection. A full paulownia wood bottom sandwich increases stiffness and strength while keeping the board reactive and lightweight. The result is a tough, direct-feeling construction that supports high-speed carving and dynamic freeride performance.
Shape and details
Compared to the Freestyle Wave, the Magic Move is slightly longer and wider, with a noticeably broader tail to improve early planing and stability. A parallel mid-outline offers a large planing surface, while the even volume distribution helps the board lift onto the plane effortlessly with minimal pumping.
A key design feature is the updated rail shape: the raised apex in the mid-section provides extra lift during jibes, helping maintain speed and exit the turn with power. Towards the tail, the rail tapers into a defined step rail, allowing a wide tail to deliver grip and bite in tight turns without catching.
The flat scoop rocker supports fast acceleration and efficient planing. A pronounced double concave V in the nose works like suspension in chop, while the reduced V in the strap area and increased V again towards the tail enhance the blend of speed, manoeuvrability and control.
On the water
Magic Move is fast, stable and highly predictable. It pops onto the plane quickly, carries speed naturally through jibes and feels smooth and composed even in rough water. The board’s lively character makes carving fun and dynamic, while its stability and comfort make it ideal for long, high-wind sessions. Whether blasting or carving through small swell, the Magic Move feels energetic and well-balanced.
Who it's for
Perfect for intermediate to advanced riders who want a sporty, manoeuvrable freeride board that is more versatile than a typical freeride shape and easier than a pure wave board. It is an excellent choice for lake sailing, coastal bump and jump, carving jibes and dynamic high-wind freeriding
