Super Sport delivers slalom-level speed in a more user-friendly package. It remains stable, predictable and smooth even when fully powered, offering a direct and connected feel that helps you transfer sail power efficiently into acceleration. Dynamic reaches, fast upwind angles and high-speed carving are all easily accessible, making it a true free-race performer. Despite its race DNA, the board still feels easy to ride, and high-speed jibes are remarkably smooth and controlled.
Construction
The construction is based on a high-quality paulownia wood bottom sandwich with Innegra nose protection and parabolic rail reinforcement. It is designed to provide stiffness, responsiveness and durability for demanding freeride sessions. The setup remains lightweight enough to support rapid acceleration and sensitive control at full speed.
Shape and details
The Super Sport is inspired by JP’s slalom shapes but tuned for performance-oriented freeriders. A compact outline and short length give the board a highly controlled feel, while the parallel midsection maximizes planing surface and provides instant lift into planing.
The concave deck around the mast base lowers the rig’s pivot point, adding stability when powered up. The bottom curve and V-flow, derived from slalom designs, are refined to increase comfort and improve the board’s jibing ability. The long waterline, high riding position and efficient release make the board feel loose and fast on all points of sail.
Thin rails throughout the board’s length provide excellent grip and smoothness in turns, helping the rider enter and exit jibes at speed. Tail cut-outs ensure clean water release and allow easy trim control, while the tail outline and deck shape give strong leverage over the fin for fast acceleration and high-end performance.
On the water
Super Sport planes early, accelerates aggressively and holds speed with minimal effort. It stays composed at high velocity and slices through chop with impressive smoothness. Riders can reach top speeds confidently without the need for slalom-level technique. Dynamic, high-speed jibes feel fluid and natural thanks to the thin rails and stable tail section.
