Character and purpose
RS:Racing EVO XVII sits at the pinnacle of slalom and foil racing sail development. Its design evolves directly from record-breaking speed sails, resulting in exceptional acceleration, aerodynamic stability and precise power delivery under extreme loads. This is a pure performance sail built to win races at the highest level, providing unmatched efficiency on all racing courses.
Construction and on-water behaviour
The quadruple luff sleeve construction maximizes strength and minimizes stretch in the most critically loaded area of the sail. Taffeta in the upper luff panel further improves load distribution and stretch resistance, while Lite Skin Aramid in the clew enhances durability and abrasion resistance.
Six out of seven battens are full carbon tubes, reducing weight and improving stability, especially in heavy gusts. The airflow-optimized batten layout ensures clean aerodynamics and smoother rotation by aligning the battens with the natural sailing rake of the rig.
Stability and control
The EVO XVII delivers instant power and maintains a remarkably clean and locked-in profile even in the strongest wind ranges. Carbon leading edge ribs stabilise the upper sleeve where cambers are not used, keeping the sail rotation predictable and reducing drag in high-speed conditions.
Racing dynamics
With a highly efficient aerodynamic profile, the sail offers instant planing, rapid acceleration through gusts and excellent drive both upwind and downwind. It is engineered to excel on fin and modern foil racing setups, giving competitive racers the control and speed they need to dominate.
