Character and purpose
Speedster EVO is a completely re-imagined freerace design that brings pure race sail engineering into a no-camber format. Featuring a triple panel luff sleeve, airflow-optimized shaping and a window layout inspired by the record-setting RS:Racing EVO series, it offers unmatched lightness, stability and responsiveness. It is built for riders who want slalom performance without the complexity of cambers.
Construction and on-water behaviour
Compared to the original Speedster, the EVO version features a shorter boom and a dynamic batten concept: 6 battens in sizes 5.0 to 7.0, and 7 battens in 7.5 and 8.0. This reduces weight and increases responsiveness while maintaining exceptional aerodynamic stability. It is the only freerace sail in the collection that uses the exact same material specification as our full RS:Racing sails.
Speed and control
Speedster EVO accelerates instantly and maintains impressive top speed with minimal effort. The slalom-inspired outline delivers strong upwind and downwind angles, and the highly stable profile stays composed even in heavy gusts. The sail reacts instantly to trim changes and gives precise control during high-speed blasting.
Ease of use and maneuverability
Despite its race-oriented engineering, the EVO remains easy to rig, rotate and waterstart thanks to its cam-free layout. The lightweight handling reduces fatigue and improves comfort in long sessions, while the compact outline enhances the flow through jibes.
